TACT...Thought I would toss this one your way, although you may never see it.
Here is a case where an alleged VACCINATED individual came down with measles after visiting Texas. Now, there are several possibilities here of varying degrees of badness. Bears watching.
It's known that vaccine efficacy wanes over time. When we are talking about measles, it takes 30 to 40 years on average, but that is a general time frame. Some people may become susceptible to measles earlier or later. It's important to get the titers checked to see if someone needs a booster. I needed a booster in my early 40's. When exposed to a higher viral load, the risk of coming down with an infection increases. The good news is that even if exposed to measles after antibodies wane from vaccination, the memory B cells start producing antibodies much quicker, reducing the risk of severe disease.
The adaptive immune response SHOULD work provided SARS-CoV-2 infections haven't severely attenuated follicular helper T-cells. So far, vaccine induced immunity appears to be holding, but it is something to watch.
Here is a somewhat related case in point. The article linked below discusses the recent tuberculosis outbreak in Kansas describing it as "one of the largest recorded Tuberculosis outbreaks in U.S. history." We are informed that Tuberculosis is rising in Europe because of 'disruption of diagnostic and therapeutic services due to armed conflict...' Haven't heard about armed conflict in Kansas. Perhaps another reason might be associated with this recent outbreak.
I saw something on Xitter recently regarding the 'Morocco variant' of measles. Don't know anything about this, but with the unchecked spread of measles, I wonder if we have a new variant soup of measles to look forward to? I recall a few years back that a variant of whooping cough was circulating in Brazil which was different from the vaccinal strain.

I believe the same thing has happened more recently in China.
