Hi TACT...

Seen this? Johns Hopkins is shutting down their Coronavirus Resource Center.

We're likely to see more of this going forward. "Nothing to see here folks, move along"

That is horrible! Didn't know that. OurWorldinData.org uses their data for all their graphs. This would be huge loss in our ability to stay up to date and to analyze what's occurring. Everyone needs to contact John Hopkins and let them know how important their work has been and how much we still need it.

"The Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center plans to cease operations March 10"

"It's bittersweet," says Lauren Gardner, an engineering professor who launched the project with one of her students on March 3, 2020. "But it's an appropriate time to move on. "

This is not a good time! We have new variants that have defeated all available monoclonal antibody treatments, the vaccines don't stop transmission or persistent organ infections, nearly 19,000 people have died since January 1st, 2023 and new variants are getting even better at suppressing the immune system. We need to track what's going on more than ever. Thank you for sharing!

So glad my son is grown and I don’t have grandchildren.
